Kristen E. Sukalac

Kristen E. Sukalac is a Partner and Senior Advisor at Prospero & Partners, an award-winning strategic communications firm based in Antwerp and Paris that specialises in global communications services and issues management.

She previously spent 7.5 years as the Head of Information and Communications at the Paris-based International Fertilizer Industry Association (IFA), a global trade association composed of some 450 companies in 84 countries. Before joining IFA, she was responsible for communications at the Brussels-based international trade association of the crop protection industry.

She has worked extensively on the complex questions and trade-offs surrounding sustainable development, including food and nutrition security, environmental impacts, natural resource management and the respective roles of policy makers, business & industry and other stakeholders. In this context, she has interacted with a wide range of stakeholders involved in the policy processes at international intergovernmental organisations like the World Bank, the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) and several agencies of the United Nations.

She began her career as a researcher at a think-tank specialised in European affairs after completing a bilingual Master’s Degree / Diplôme d’Etudes Approfondies in the Politics and Administration of European Integration at the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium.

Kristen is a long-standing volunteer leader of the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC), having served at the French, Belgian, European and International levels.

Kristen is a member of the SRLINK Editorial Board.
