Catherine Arrow
Catherine Arrow has been involved with communication in one form or another all her working life, in both the northern and southern hemispheres. Starting her career as a journalist before heading into public relations, Catherine moved online with the advent of the web and has been helping people with digital engagement ever since. After working in the public and private sectors, Catherine founded and ran an award-winning public relations consultancy in the UK before arriving in New Zealand in 2005.
Since then she has served in a number of capacities, including the design and delivery of professional development programmes for the Public Relations Institute of New Zealand (PRINZ), lecturing at various universities, keynote presentations on public relations and digital engagement and her own consultancy work, which helps organisations across all sectors build and sustain the relationships critical to both their reputation and licence to operate.
A Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations, Chartered Public Relations Practitioner and a Member of PRiNZ, she is currently Secretary of the Global Alliance for Public Relations and Communication Management. In May 2012 she was presented with the PRINZ President’s Award which recognises exemplary contribution to the profession by an individual member.
