Thank you for citing my blog initiatives, Heather. It has been a primary focus of mine to develop and determine the course of my online reputation.
You make an excellent point and one that is particularly pertinent to my campaign. I recently did a blog posting on the benefits of search engine optimizing your press release. I was surprised to find a comment from a rep at NewsWire who did an excellent job at highlighting the relevant benefits of staying with the wire instead of branching out on your own.
This woman took the time to search on relevant topics relating to her organization and respond appropriately. Many organizations have difficulty seeing the ROI on new media involvement, but these are the ones that stand to be left in the dust.
